About Emily

Emily Lafrenière is a recent graduate of Marymount Manhattan College where she completed her Bachelor's Degree in Theatre with a concentration in Producing and Management. She first got her start in theatre by running the deck backstage at her high school in West Hartford, Connecticut. Since then, she has worked her way through the world of tech theatre, from scenic construction, spotlight operation, and wardrobe, to eventually finding her way to the wonderful world of management. Since 2016, Emily has worked in stage management for musical theatre, plays, dance, virtual new play development workshops, and concerts in both NYC and Connecticut.

Regional: Cabaret, Grease, A Chorus Line, A Night With Janis Joplin, Murder For Two (Ivoryton Playhouse), re-NOV-ate: A Dance Collection (Alchemical Studios), Sorry For Your Loss (The Tank as part of LimeFest).

Virtual: Sorry For Your Loss, Lost In Translation, Sir Alfred and the Crow, Taemong (new play development workshops over Zoom), Still Putting It Together  Concert (to raise funds for Maestra Music, Inc.), RE: Social/Divide (Cooperative Performance Theatre Company).

College: This Evening, Tonight With Moriarty Jones, James Baldwin's Blues for Mister Charlie, Starlight Express, Killing Time, Half-Time, Grease (Marymount Manhattan College) Holiday Songbook Concert (Bruno Walter Auditorium at Lincoln Center).

 

Emily is also a skilled photographer and has taken photographs for many dancers, actors, and families. She also loves to cook!
